| Job Description | COPE Community Services, Inc. is a private, nonprofit mental health care and community service organization providing pathways to recovery for individuals and families, and collaborative solutions to community problems. COPE offers comprehensive programs, resources, and support for recovery from substance abuse, serious mental illness, HIV/AIDS, as well as from the stresses and challenges that affect health and quality of life. With a budget of more than $40 million, COPE employs a staff of more than 450 people who serve over 7,500 individual members and their families.
COPE Community Services, Inc. is looking for one (1) full-time Deputy Director. The Deputy Director is a second-in-command role reporting to the CEO with direct responsibility for contracts, licensure-related compliance, community health/federal programs, facilities & safety, and support to COPE subsidiaries. The Deputy will also have responsibility for coordination, support, knowledge transfer, and other types of direct involvement throughout the organization. The Deputy Director will also act on behalf of the CEO in his absence.

| Job Requirements | - Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in behavioral science (e.g. psychology, social work, organizational development/behavior, etc), social science (e.g. sociology, counseling, public health), public administration, management or related discipline.
- Ten (10) years of senior level experience in a large mental health, healthcare, or social/human service organization, which includes five (5) years served in a supervisory/administrative role.
- Budgetary and financial management experience preferred.
- Clinical experience desirable.
- Personal experience with recovery a plus.
- Bicultural and bilingual (Spanish/English) desirable.
