| Job Description |
- Co-author health education newsletters.
- Coordinate the development, revision, and distribution of dynamic, web-based media (videos, Facebook, Twitter, podcasts, etc.) as well as posters and other health information materials.
- Obtain feedback from students regarding project media.
- Coordinate the development, revision and distribution of Campus Health Service and Health Promotion and Preventive Services health information materials.
- Work collaboratively with HPPS team on a variety of health promotion and risk reduction events and activities.
- Integrate health messages throughout the UA by working with other departments and colleges.
- Coordinate the use of social media to reach UA students with health –related topics/information
- Coordinate and serve as departmental lead for MailChimp e-newsletters
- Develop and deliver health education presentations for student, staff and community members.
- Work collaboratively with HPPS team on a variety of health promotion and risk reduction events and activities, including the coordination and leadership of special events.
- Instruct alcohol diversion program (SHADE) classes.
- Partner on health issues with campus and community stakeholders, including Residence Life, Fraternity and Sorority Programs, Dean of Students and the University of Arizona Police Department.
- Coordinate sorority health media campaign, including media development and distribution.

| Job Requirements | Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Social Work or related field.
- At least one year of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of prevention and health education strategies, specifically with regard to college students.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
- High skill level with computers and a variety of computer programs, and electronic communication.
- Experience working with Information Technology staff.

| Job Skills | The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and strong interpersonal skills enabling them to relate well to students, faculty and staff. The ideal candidate will have strong presentation skills in group settings. The Health Educator will work with an award winning college health promotion and prevention team whose goal is to reduce health related harm and risk among college students at The University of Arizona. |
